Finn McBride Commitment

Ryan Kemper, Sports Writer

Finn McBride is a senior runner for Green Hope High School, competing in all twelve seasons of Cross Country and both Indoor and Outdoor Track.  Finn has been a standout runner since his freshman year, holding school records in the Outdoor Full Mile, the Freshman 1600m, Track 5000m, and has been a part of two All-American 4x1600m relays both at New Balance Indoor and Outdoor Nationals.  McBride is very fond of his recently purchased Camaro, which can be seen in the parking lot, breaking every speed limit rule that is present.  Finn has been a driven student in the classroom taking a variety of AP Classes, but he claims that his favorite class in high school has been Pre-Calculus with Mrs. Kovalaske.  McBride has decided to serve his country after high school, and will be taking his academic and athletic talents to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.  The process to gain admittance to the Academy was a long journey, but McBride is excited for what is to come.
