2/26-3/4 Green Hope Weekly Wrap-Up

Women’s Basketball:
The Green Hope women’s basketball team fell in the Elite 8, 77-53, against Southeast Raleigh. The girls finished the year 24-5 and won the conference regular season and tournament championship. Great season ladies!
Baseball:
Green Hope lost their first game of the season. In the 6-5 loss to Holly Springs, Connor Knapp went 2-4, with 2 RBIs. Kevin Pitarra, also, went 2-4 and hitting 2 RBIs. Pitarra and Knapp combined for three stolen bases. The Falcons responded with a dominating 5-1 win over Wakefield. Green Hope drew eight walks, while only allowing the Wolverines to four hits.

Softball:
The Falcons were routed in their season opener, 18-3, against Holly Springs. Kasey Condon, Katie Asbill, and Madeline Bungert all had a RBI in the loss. Green Hope responded by handling Wakefield, 21-11. Savannah Harrison led the team with 5 RBIs, while Asbill added three.

Men’s Lacrosse:
Green Hope opened their season with a dominating 16-0 win over Cary. The Falcons are currently ranked 4th in the News & Observer Top 25.

Wednesday @ 7:00 at Broughton
Friday @ 6:00 at Riverside-Durham
Women’s Lacrosse:
The women’s Lacrosse team easily handled Cary in the season opener. Alicia Brunetti scored 5 goals in the 18-2 win. Michelle Ramsey and Madison Vuytecki scored three goals apiece. Kaylie Mosser and Meghan O’Mara, both, added two goals, and Delaney Rowe, Cameron Peele, and Trisha Scott added a goal.

Men’s Golf:
Green Hope competed in their first match of the season last Friday at Keith Hills Golf Club. The team finished 7th of 15 schools. Combined, the team shot 331, fifteen behind the winner, Clayton and Broughton.

Women’s Soccer:
Green Hope opened their season with a 1-1 tie against Wakefield. Gabby Mueller scored the only goal for the Falcons. Skye McKinnon stopped five shots in the game.
