We interviewed Mary Wasilak, a senior here at at Green Hope, about her cat. Nikki is an orange tabby cat. Mary has had Nikki since she was five, when her aunt got him from her horse farm in Virginia. One of Nikki’s favorite things to do is wake Mary up at early hours in the morning. He loves to lay across Mary’s face and deprive her of sleep at 4:30 in the morning.

Mary described Nikki as really mean and standoffish with everyone except people in her family, and she added that he tends to be quite aggressive. Despite his loner personality, he is still sweet as Mary’s favorite memory with Nikki involves them being together on a hot, summer day. She had just gotten her first car and Mary was sitting inside it on her driveway with the door open because it was so hot. Nikki ended up hopping inside the car with her and they sat there together, chilling.

If Nikki could say anything, he would say, “Feed me more!”
