As conference play began for fall sports teams at Green Hope, the Falcons picked up many wins, including two Fight for 55 points.  Let us recap how the teams performed last week, and look at the upcoming events this week.

Women’s Tennis: The tennis team defeated PC on Monday by a score of 7 courts to 1.  This secured the first Fight for 55 points of the year for Green Hope.  The Falcons also defeated Athens Drive (8-1) and Green Level (9-0) later in the week.  This week the Falcons (6-0) have three more conference matches starting with Hillside on Monday.

Mens Soccer: The soccer team lost to Heritage and Holly Springs last week.  This week the Falcons begin conference play with two big games.  On Wednesday the Falcons take on rivals PC at home in a fight for 55 matchup.  A win would give the team momentum going into the second half of the season.

Volleyball: The Volleyball team beat PC last week in three sets to earn yet another fight for 55 point for the Falcons.  Then the number one ranked Falcons travelled to Louisville Kentucky to compete against other top teams from across the country.  This week the Falcons continue conference play with two more games, starting with a home match against Green Level on Tuesday.

Football: The football team had two games this week.  On Monday the Falcons lost against Holly Springs after a last second second field goal gave them a one point lead.  On Friday the Falcons beat Triton by a score of 28-21 to improve to 3-1 on the year. This Friday the Falcons will take on Sanderson who is 2-2.  A large crowd is anticipated this week since Friday’s game is Homecoming as well. A pep rally will be held during school Friday for the nights game.
