Boba Baba Review

Boba Baba Review

Maddy Chen and Ameena Farooqui

Think that Kung Fu Tea and Quickly are good? Wait till you taste Boba Baba’s tea, and you’ll be in for a delightful surprise.

There’s a new bubble tea store in town, and we went to check it out. Here’s what we discovered:

Boba Baba, located by Stone Creek next to Publix, is the perfect place to grab a drink or a bite to eat and hang out with friends. Stepping in, you’re immediately hit with a clean Instagram aesthetic. The atmosphere is inviting as the store is a large and modern open space, decorated to bring out a hypebeast but minimalistic vibe, with soft pop music playing in the background.

Their menu contains a plethora of different authentic Hong-Kong style drinks. Prices range from around $4-6 per drink and customers can choose between a multitude of different toppings such as grass jelly, almond jelly, aloe jelly, and of course, tapioca balls. We were able to customize ours down to the ice preference, milk option, and the level of sweetness. The employees were more than sweet, and let us take our time to decide what we wanted.

Why this place is better than other bubble tea stores around?

The quality: Their tea is exceptionally good and made with fresh ingredients!

Perfect boba: it’s sweet, not too soft, and not too hard

Definitely Insta worthy: the place is loaded with different picture taking opportunities, especially at their “Looking for a Boba Baba” Mirror.

They have milk alternative options for FREE.

Song choices: We love their playlist! On multiple occasions, Maddy took out her phone to Shazam music.

Fast service: they make the drinks right on the spot and then hand deliver them to you. Also a plus, the employees are super cute 🙂

The Space: flourished with a couple supreme items and comfy couches, an incredibly roomy place with more than enough seats for everyone.

We’ve also broken down their drinks into our top favs! Here’s a list:

Strawberry Matcha Latte: Not only is this the cutest drink you’ll ever see, layered with 3 flavors of strawberry, matcha, and milk, it’s a one of a kind taste. This drink is super unique to anything we’d ever tried. It is a must-try at Boba Baba. Rate: 10/10

Butterfly Fresca: Although Ameena doesn’t like this drink at all, it’s by far Maddy’s favorite. This is also a bubble tea with different colored layers. It’s a bit sour compared to the other drinks, but it reminds us a lot like raspberry lemonade. Rate: 3/10 Ameena’s rating but 10/10 for Maddy

Thai Milk Tea: If you’re into the classic bubble tea flavor, you’ll like the spin that Boba Baba put on their Thai Milk Tea. Surprisingly more orange than we thought it would be, this tea has a pretty milk swirl that reminds us of Starbucks caramel macchiatos.

Delicious Treats to also try:

Cream Puffs: these treats come in an assortment of flavors including Pumpkin Spice, Black Sesame, and Milk Tea.

Mochi Donuts: They taste like funnel cake!

Overall, we’re so glad we got to visit Boba Baba and we totally recommend you do too.
