With 2019 quickly coming to a close, artists will soon begin to drop more and more projects. The number of releases began to pick up this past month. From Frank Ocean’s unexpected ‘DHL’ single to Lil Tjay’s highly anticipated debut album, True 2 Myself, October 2019 was full of new music. Here is a breakdown of the top ten releases of the month:


  1. XXXTentacion- HEARTEATER (Single)

‘HEARTEATER’ is the latest posthumous single released by XXXTentacion’s estate. It was released along with a music video featuring Jah’s ex girlfriend. 


  1. Lil Peep- Goth Angel Sinner (EP)

Goth Angel Sinner is another posthumous project released by the estate of Lil Peep. It was his first and only release of 2019.


  1. Dan + Shay and Justin Bieber- ‘10,000 Hours’ (Single)

Country-pop duo Dan + Shay released an unexpected single with Justin Bieber which became the highest-charting non-holiday country track in Streaming Songs history after debuting at #3.


  1. Rex Orange County- Pony (Album)

English recording artist Rex Orange County released his first album since 2017. Pony peaked at #3 on the Billboard 200. 


  1. Frank Ocean- ‘DHL’ (Single)

‘DHL’ was Frank Ocean’s first music release since his 2016 album Blonde. It was released the day after it was aired on Ocean’s Beats 1 radio show. 


  1. Tame Impala- ‘It Might Be Time’ (Single)

‘It Might Be Time’ is Tame Impala’s third released single of the year in preparation for its upcoming album, The Slow Rush


  1. Travis Scott- ‘Highest in the Room’ (Single)

Travis Scott fans have been waiting for the release of ‘Highest in the Room’ for a long time. The Mike Dean produced track had been teased by Scott at shows for months prior to its debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. 


  1. Lil Tecca and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie- ‘Somebody’ (Single)

Lil Tecca and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie teamed up with producer Nick Mira on ‘Somebody,’ which currently still sits at #1 on Soundcloud’s most played tracks this week.  


  1. Lil Tjay- True 2 Myself (Album)

Bronx rapper Lil Tjay released his debut album following a year of viral hits including ‘F.N.,’ ‘Leaked,’ and chart topping collab ‘Pop Out’ with Chicago rapper Polo G.


  1. Juice WRLD and NBA Youngboy- ‘Bandit’ (Single)

Juice WRLD is arguably the hottest rapper in the industry right now. The Chicago native teamed up with NBA Youngboy and his long-time producer Nick Mira and made ‘Bandit,’ which peaked at #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and is currently the second most streamed song on Soundcloud.
