In conclusion, I believe that it will be a big year for singer Billie Eilish and Atlanta rapper Lil Nas X. Both artists gained a large following over the past year and each had a chart-topping single. Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” broke the Billboard record for the longest running number one song, but was ultimately dethroned by Eilish’s “Bad Guy”, after 19 weeks at the number one spot. With all of the great music released this year, it will be interesting to see where the awards fall. Tune in on January 26 to find out.
