The Green Hope Falcon

Uma Bhat
Uma Bhat, Class of 2021, is a passionate journalist interested in social sciences and social justice. She’s had work published in The Stanford Daily, The New York Times, The Homegirl Project, and various other news-related publishers. This year she’s looking to kickstart a broadcast program for The Falcon, and beyond high school, she’d like to work as a Foreign Service Officer for the United States. You can find her busy with classwork or chatting in one of her clubs, like Model United Nations or JSA. In her free time, she likes listening to artists such as ODESZA, Louis the Child, Kygo, and Mura Masa. Her favorite place in the world is the San Francisco Area, but she was originally a born and bred D.C.-er living in the suburbs of Fairfax-Loudoun, N. Virginia and has been lucky enough to explore five continents (she has yet to go to Antarctica, which she plans on checking off her bucket list sometime). She loves to travel, write, meet new people, and learn about fashion/food.
